Change Date and Time is Greyed Out on Server 2016/2019/2022 (Solved)
If you cannot change date and/or time on a Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, because the "Change" button is greyed out, continue reading below to learn how to bypass the problem.
Normally in Windows you can change the date and time in the 'Date and Time' settings, but in the latest versions of Windows Server this is impossible even if you are a domain administrator, because the relevant 'Change' button is grayed out, as shown in screenshot below. To bypass this problem, follow the instructions below.
How to Change Date & Time in Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
Method 1. Set Date/Time in Server Manager.
1. Open the Server Manager, click Local Server on the left and then click on the right at Time Zone.
2. In the "Date and Time" window click Change date and time
3. Set the date/time and then click OK and OK again to apply the change.
Method 2. Set Date/Time with "timedate.cpl" applet,
1. Open Search and type: timedate.cpl
2. Then right-click on the timedate.cpl result and select Run as administrator.
2. In the "Date and Time" window click Change date and time to adjust the date/time and then click OK twice to apply the change..
