How to Enable Teams Recording in Video Calls (Microsoft Teams).
Want to record one-to-one video calls in Microsoft Teams but the "Recording" option is unavailable? If so, continue reading below to learn how to enable call recording in the Microsoft Teams.
Although Meeting Recording is enabled by default in Microsoft Teams, the ability to record one-on-one conversations is disabled. To fix this issue, proceed and turn on the "Cloud recording for calling" feature in Microsoft Teams admin center as instructed below.
How to Enable Microsoft Teams Call Recording in One-to-One Video Calls.
To allow users to record video calls in Microsoft Teams, proceed and turn on the cloud call recording in Microsoft Teams admin center. To do that:
1. Sign in to the Microsoft Teams admin center.
2. In the left pane, expand Voice and then select Calling policies.
3. Then open the Clobal (org-wide default) policy, or create a new policy by clicking the Add button. *
* Note: If you create a new policy, then after enabling "Cloud recording for calling" (see next step), click "Manage Users" in the menu to specify in which users this policy will apply to.
3. Toggle the Cloud recording for calling to On and then click Save.
4. Now wait about an hour for the policy change to take effect.
6. Sign out of Microsoft Teams app and sign back in. The Teams recording option in one to one calls, should be available now.
